Ernest Wood was a scientist, a writer and a lecturer. He was born in Engeland in 1883. At a young age he was attracted by Theosophy. He traveled to India at the beginning of the 20th century and helped Annie Besant in her work in Education. He served as privat secretary for Bp Leadbeater. He was the founder of the Theosophical College of Madanapal. He wrote many books on philosophy and developped a special interest for yoga. He went to the United States of America after WW2 and became the head of the American Academy of Oriental Studies in san Francisco, and later was a teacher and lecturer at the Texas University in Houston, TX.
