Such ideas were not enough for those who are awakened to Life's deeper purposes. There comes a time when a man ceases to see himself as an isolated being existing only to gain salvation or fulfill personal ambitions, wether material or spiritual.

He comes to realize that he is a living cell of consciousness in one vast organism, the universe itself; and he turns to the task of fulfilling his relationship to the whole of Life, of working in harmony with divine Life and Power. He desires not personal glorification, but rather that all life might, through his life, develop towards fulfilment and perfection.
