Manicheism is a particular form of Gnostic Writings. Its teachings have florished over the centuries and taken many forms. The Roman Catholic Church has organized several cruel repressions - improperly called Crusades - against Manicheans, sometimes, as in the case of the Vaudois, conducting genocide. If so little is known about the Vaudois, it is because there were no survivers.
