Canonical Scriptures

When we would attempt to seize the literary sense attaching to the word "Canonical", the task is not so easy. Over the centuries, several "Canons" were used to describe the writings considered to be inspired by God. Even today the Canon of Judaïsm, of protestantism, and Catholicism are not completely the same.

The Christian Canon consists of two major parts: the Ancient and the New Testaments. The Old Testament being roughly equivalent to the Jewish Scriptures.

In association with the Bible Gateway we are offering here a series of tools to navigate in the Canonical Books of the Bible.
