Arriving in Sydney, he met the wellknown mystic and theosophist Charles Webster Leadbeater, formally a Priest of the Church of England, now a well-known author.

Leadbeater attended several celebrations of the Holy Eucharist by Wedgwood and was greatly impressed by the potential offered by this ceremony for the radiation of spiritual Life and Light to the world.
