His auxiliary, Bishop Willoughby, intended to do the same, but first agreed to consecrate two of the Old Catholic Clergy to preserve the Apostolic Succession in the Old Catholic Church in England Born on December 17, 1862 he had been elevated to the Episcopate by Bishop Mathew in Bromley (England) on October 28, 1914.
Prior to his submission to the Roman Catholic Church in 1916, he also consacrated Wedgwood to the Episcopate.
